FYI: Essex County should have equal numbers of Republican and Democrat poll workers; however, we’re advised that lately it’s been running two Democrats to every one Republican poll worker. You can become an integral part of the election process in your community!
Poll Workers – New Jersey Citizens Needed!
The Division of Elections, within the New Jersey Department of State, is seeking New Jersey citizens to help in their community by serving as poll workers during the Early Voting period and on General Election Day. Citizens of all ages, including college and high school students who are at least 16 years old, are encouraged to apply.
Training is required and will be provided.

Look up your district by checking your street on your map, and then look up your name.
Voter Registration Form
- In Box 1, check off “Political Party Affiliation”
- Complete the form with your personal information
- Box 13 is where you check YES or NO and if changing parties, input the party you now want to be affiliated with
- Print out the form and follow the folding instructions as listed
- Form is already addressed and no postage is necessary.
- Form must me mailed before MAY 14, 2024 in order to be in place for the Primary Election.
